Facilities

The Academy moved into new buildings in 2011, as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme. A significant investment programme funded by the government to create a contemporary building that gives a feeling of light and space, helping to create a calm and purposeful learning environment.  

We enjoy a bespoke purpose-built theatre with retractable seating and professional lighting; a large 8-court sports hall with retractable seating and equipment; a floodlit all weather pitch and running track; a floodlit 6-court multi-use games and an industry standard cardio and resistance training fitness centre. 

We have dedicated dance, drama and music rooms, plus a recording studio and sound-proof practice rooms. 

We have a dedicated Sixth Form centre for up to 200 students and a bespoke purpose-built lecture theatre for university style lessons. 

We boast a large dining area and canteen, alongside two external catering units and a covered external seating area. 

The classrooms are modern, light and well-equipped, to ensure the best possible learning environments for the students.
