Safeguarding
Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding. At the Sir Robert Woodard Academy, we are committed to practice which protects children from harm.
At the Academy:
In the DSL’s absence, you will be directed to the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads; Charlotte Earl-Novell, Director of Safeguarding, Catherine Urwin, Vice Principal or Kieran Scanlon, Principal.
You can email the DSL team on DSL@srwa.woodard.co.uk
Outside of the Academy:

‘Prevent’ duty and students vulnerable to extremism
Looked After and Previously Looked After Children
Our Designated Teacher for Looked After Children and Previously Looked After Children is our SENDCo, Robert Langstone, who works closely with our Inclusion Manager, Seb Stott. They can be contacted with any queries on: CLA@srwa.woodard.co.uk.
Operation Encompass
SRWA is an Operation Encompass school. This is a partnership between police and schools where all incidents of domestic abuse are shared. In practice this means that we are notified if the police have attended an incident of domestic abuse. The timely sharing of information enables appropriate support to be provided for a child at school. Further information can be found at www.operationencompass.org
