We really enjoyed the Worthing Mayor’s Debate competition at The Chamber at Worthing Town Hall on Friday.

We were chosen to debate against the proposal that we should do more to celebrate diversity and against the proposal that we can ever close the gender pay gap- tough topics!

Every team member contributed: Rosanna Griffiths, Molly Dollner, Evie-May Sims and Joe Woods in year 10 and George Bridgen, Jodie Bridgen, Harry Sotham and Jasmine Adams.

We were up against teams from Sion, Bohunt and Worthing High and the competition was very strong. We have yet to be informed by Mr Mayor and Councillor Hazel Thorpe who won but we really enjoyed the experience and the insight into the world of local politics.
