From Monday 19th, to Friday, 23rd August a group of 160 students from Years 8 to 10 were invited to participate in our summer school program.

This initiative was designed not only to keep the students engaged with their learning during the summer break but also to give them a strong head start as they prepare for the all important Year 11.

Throughout the week, the students attended a series of lessons in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science. They were also given the opportunity to choose between enriching activities in art, music, or sports each day. 

To recognize and reward the commitment of those who attended the summer school for the entire week, a special trip to Thorpe Park was organized on Friday which was great fun for all involved. All students were also each given a study pack containing useful stationary items and revision packs to start them off on the right foot for the new school year.

The week was a resounding success, with both students and staff enjoying the experience.
